There is no shortage of mid range phone in the market right now. But there is however a shortage of good mid range phone. And OnePlus might have just fixed it with its new phone OnePlus Nord 3.
Starting with the price tag of INR 33,999 in India and some 450 euros for the base variant. But here in Nepal it is NPR 69,999 which is almost double of India. Although it has to share its market with phone like Samsung’s galaxy a54, poco f5 and other great phone, all of them have made some compromise in one sector or the other. But OnePlus this time almost nailed it all except there is the camera that they can make a bit better, but that can also be fixed with some software update to optimize it in the future.
Now lets look at its spec.

Design:

OnePlus Nord 3 Has an stunning design, when looking at it nobody will be able to tell that it looks like a midrange phone.
It comes with two color choices Misty Green and Tempest Gray. Tempest Gray has a tempestuous 2.8D silk glass cover with a frosted texture that is anti-glare and anti-fingerprint, while Misty Green comes with a subtle glossy celadon glass finish. The slim 8.15mm design and flat edges make for an in-hand feel that’s fat on comfort.
Display:
OnePlus Nord 3 comes with a decently large 6.74 inches screen, a super-Amoled display with 10 bit colors. It has an impressive 120hz adaptive dynamic frame rate for an smooth experience while using the phone. It has an max brightness of 1,450 Nits while viewing hdr content, using adaptive brightness we can still reach 1100 nits of brightness which is very good if you have to use the phone in direct sunlight.
Performance:

OnePlus Nord 3 is very good in the performance aspect! Here We can get a very powerful Dimensity 9000 chipset, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This means the performance we get while using this phone is incredible. Multitasking is great, everything is smooth makes it so that it feels like you are using a flagship phone.
Although you can get faster phones like the iQOO Neo 7 Pro with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip at a similar price bracket. But OnePlus offers a much cleaner and easy-to-use UI experience with no bloatware apps.
OnePlus is promising 3 generations of OS and 4 years of security patches on this phone, so that is very good as well.
Cameras:

It is the only place that I feel like this phone has to improve somewhat, which can be fixed with some software update to optimize the camera.
Battery:
OnePlus Nord 3 comes with a 5,000mah battery which can last you for about a day in normal use. even if you intencively use it you can fully charge the phone in about 35 min using the 80 wat charger
Security:
it has an inbuilt fingerprint scanner and can be unlocked using your face as well.
Conclusion:
The only aspect I find this phone could do better is of course the cameras! But I expect the company to roll out a few updates to optimize it in the coming days. But the Nepalese pricing is at a blatantly higher side. After all, the phone costs INR 33,999 in India and it is priced more than doubled here in Nepal at NPR 69,999 for the 8/128GB trim. Other than that this phone is very good and should be in your list if you are looking to buy a new one.
