Chaudhary Group, the multinational Nepalese business conglomerate, which has a widespread presence among FMCG, hotels and resorts, realty, financial services, cement, energy and infrastructure, electronics, education, etc, has announced its entry into the Nepalese electric vehicle segment with the introduction of ‘Neta V’ electric crossover. The Neta V subcompact CUV is priced at Rs 37.99 Lakhs in the Nepalese market.
Hozon Auto New Energy Vehicle Company, which was founded in China in 2014, is the source of CG Motor’s EV, according to Chaudhary Group sources. The company has it’s R&D located in Silicon Valley, California, while the company’s design centre is in Beijing, China.
The first concept vehicle of Hozon Auto was unveiled in 2017 by the Chinese company. In 2018, it was given the name Neta N-Zero-One.
The EV is available with two battery alternatives in the global market: a 31 kWh and a 38 kWh; however, the business will introduce the deluxe model (with a 38 kWh battery pack), which has a range (NEDC) of 401 km on a single charge.

Powertrain
The Neta V will be powered by a 38.54 kWh battery and a 70 kW motor that produces 160 Nm of torque. The EV has a top speed of 101 kmph and an NEDC range of 401 kilometers on a single charge.
The EV is compatible with both fast and slow/home chargers when it comes to charging. A home charger takes 8 hours to charge the vehicle fully, but a fast charger can charge it from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
CG Motors is offering a warranty period of 8 years/150000 km on the battery pack. The vehicle motor also gets the same warranty period, whereas in other non-moveable exterior parts a 10-years/200000 km warranty has been provided.
Features
The Neta V’s global model has keyless entry, N95 air filter, central lock, cruise control, rear-view camera, sensor LCD screen, power windows, electric ORVMs, and USB ports, among other convenience features.
Tesla inspired design can be seen in the Neta’s front. The automobile is 4070 mm long, 1690 mm wide, and 1540 mm high. The vehicle has a 2420 mm wheelbase and a 146 mm ground clearance. This vehicle appears to compete directly with the Tata Nexon EV aside from its ground clearance, in terms of size, battery and so on.
Both sides of this car include a charging port. On one side, you’ll find a standard slow charging port and on the other, a fast charging port.
Like Tesla, Neta V also boasts a beautiful cabin and a vertical infotainment system.
A steering wheel with flats on both sides is essential to the round shape, which also features a spinner. This car’s steering wheel seems like it was influenced by the ones used in sports vehicles.
Front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, electric parking brake with auto hold, and a tire-pressure monitoring system are among the safety features included in the EV.
Design
The Neta V has a sleek dolphin-shaped body with a hawk-eye laser headlight on the front fascia. However, there is a tiny bulge at the back. Both sides of the EV have charging ports that can be utilized for both fast and slow charging.
Unlike in most cars, this vehicle’s driver information display is located above the dashboard, rather than behind the steering wheel. To the left of the bottom steering wheel, there is a gear shift. The touch system allows you to dim cabin’s lights.
The 14.6-inch tablet-style touch-screen infotianment system (which resembles the Tesla model 3) and a horizontal 12-inch digital instrument cluster are the EV’s key features on the inside. Furthermore, except for the controls on the steering wheel, there are no physical buttons on the dashboard.
Moreover, the vehicle homes top-notch features such as HEPA N95 Grade Air Filter, High-strength steel caged body, Zero buttons, Light-sending Automatic Headlights, Vehicle-to-load (V2L), and an external discharge function that allows you to supply power to other devices, and much more.
Neta V is available in five different color options: Silver Cloud White, Clear Sky Grey, Porcelain Cyan, Sky Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink.
